ACCOUNT RESEARCH FOR BUILDING-EFFICIENCY RETROFITS SELLERS

Bright lights. Dim buying signals.

Research buildings where your retrofit could earn its investment. Connect actual usage, technical fit, energy economics and the people who can approve the project.

The accounts. The business case. The next move.

THE PAIN / NOT ANOTHER GENERIC LIST

A fixture count is not a financial case.

Before selling time becomes sunk time, test the obstacles.

Hours get hand-waved

Without measured operating hours and usage, avoided-kWh estimates are just confident arithmetic.

Need does not mean readiness

A building can need an upgrade without having funding, intent or a buying window.

One contact is not enough

Facilities, operations and finance may weigh different requirements and risks.

02 / NEXTThe obstacle becomes a research question.

WHAT ALMA HUNTER DELIVERS

Find the retrofit case that survives scrutiny.

  1. 01

    A measured baseline

Connect system power and actual usage to the potential energy-cost mechanism.

  2. 02

    A relevant upgrade

Check building conditions, technical requirements and the operating need your solution addresses.

  3. 03

    A supported next step

Research decision roles, project intent and timing; make unresolved qualification questions visible.

THE KPIs / TRACK, DO NOT PROMISE

Better evidence.
Clearer sales decisions.

Metrics to monitor—not guaranteed lifts, meetings or sales.

TRACK 01

Evidence-qualified accounts

Monitor supported operating need, technical fit and buying-readiness criteria.

TRACK 02

Decision-role coverage

Track facilities, finance and project-approval evidence.

TRACK 03

Verified avoided kWh

Use measured usage, power difference and a suitable comparison baseline.

04 / NEXTThe buyer still has to win. Test the economics.

This models your buyer’s return from your solution—not your revenue from buying leads.

Make the value real.

Actual value depends on verified usage, applicable tariffs, project scope and relevant operating changes.

See formulas, evidence needed and research context

Gross benefit = potential units × economic unit value × realized share.

Full year-one cost = full upfront deployment + annual operating cost. Net = benefit − full cost. Year-one ROI = net ÷ full cost × 100. Each cost is subtracted once.

Simple upfront payback = upfront cost ÷ (annual benefit − annual operating cost) × 12 months, only if annual net benefit is positive. It assumes steady annual realization, not a discounted cash-flow forecast. Year-one break-even units = full year-one cost ÷ realized unit value.

Use baseline/retrofit power measurements, operating-hour logs, applicable tariffs and post-installation verification.
